Accepted Nursing Continuing Education

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing does not approve specific continuing education programs / providers but rather provides criteria for qualification of continuing education programs or offerings. "The Board does not require that your contact hours be earned at conferences that provide "official" contact hours granted by a professional organization. However, the educational offering must; have specific objectives that guide learning; pertain to and enhance the licensee's knowledge, skills and judgement; pertain to the licensee's scope of practice; have a method for evaluating the learner's attainment of the objectives; maintain a list of attendees." North Carolina Board of Nursing | Rule Approved CE Provider

Per the NCNB, licensees are only required to submit evidence of continuing competence if requested to do so by the Board.
